Why: Just over six months following the passing of its namesake founder, Giorgio Armani is peeling back the curtain on its immeasurable archive with the second installment of its “Armani / Archivo” project. The Italian house released a 13-piece capsule collection, available to shop in-store in May, made up of exact looks from seasons spanning 1979–1994. In the accompanying campaign, the collection—comprised of check wool suiting, ’70s-style trousers, and ’80s leather outerwear—comes to life through the lens of photographer and designer Eli Russell Linnetz.

For his new campaign and collection, “The Art of Silk,” Demna revisited archival prints, transforming them into a curated series of 10 silk scarves. Among them are cravats done in bold, ’60s colors and two standout pieces that pay tribute to LACMA’s newly unveiled David Geffen Galleries.
