Glen Powell is switching up his look.
The Chad Powers star, 37, turned heads with a bold beauty statement with the debut of a new hairstyle when he hit the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet in Beverley Hills, Calif. on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Powell arrived with a baby mullet, a lowkey take on the retro style regarded for its short front and longer back appearance — also known as, "business in the front, party in the back." He styled his strands with a deep side part.

The hairstyle, which was popularized in the 1980s after gaining momentum in the 1970s from rockers like David Bowie, is a significant switch-up for the Running Man star. Fans, meanwhile, can't stop talking about Powell's new look.
"why does glen powell's hair always look like a wig?" wrote one user on X.
"Y’all are worried about Connor’s hair but WHAT is happening to Glen Powell’s rn," commented another, likely a reference to Connor Storrie from Heated Rivalry who ditched his signature curls for a shaggy alternative.
"long hair glen powell oh YES," tweeted a third X user.
Powell isn't the only heartthrob rocking a mulet at the 2026 Golden Globes. Joshua Hong of Seventeen, Heated Rivalry's Connor Storrie and Jacob Elordi of Frankenstein also sported the polarizing '80s hairstyle.

Powell, who attended the award show with his mom and dad, paired his mullet with blue, velvet blazer and classic black bowtie when he arrived to the Golden Globes red carpet. He also popped on a striking pair of glasses to accessorize his look.
The actor has begun filming season 2 of his hit Hulu comedy series, Chad Powers, and revealed on Variety's Golden Globes Red Carpet Pre-Show that the series' physical demands are catching up with him.

"I took some hits yesterday," he admitted to the outlet. "If I'm walking a little weird, it's because I'm in a little bit of pain."
Powell plays a washed-up football star who disguises himself to reclaim his championship dreams and play for a struggling team in the series. The first season earned him a nomination for best performance by a male actor in a TV series - musical or comedy.
Powell takes part in a lot of real football to make the onscreen magic happen.
"We're leveling up on the football, we're leveling up on every part of the fish," he teased of season 2. "I'm just really excited about what this season has in store."
