Hayley Mills, the star of the original version of The Parent Trap, explained in a resurfaced 2017 interview that she and her double, Susan Henning, later dated rock stars.

The Disney star said her "dream date" was with George Harrison.

Henning went out with Elvis Presley after appearing in one of his movies.

Hayley Mills, star of the original version of The Parent Trap, ended up leaving the set with a close friend: her double, Susan Henning. Both later found themselves accompanied by major rock stars, Mills recalled in a resurfaced interview.

"Beautiful, beautiful girl," Mills said in a 2017 interview with Nostalgia Tonight that the podcast recirculated Monday. "And she was in a show with my great love at the time, Elvis Presley. And as a result, she went out with Elvis Presley, so I think she scored there."

Henning played a mermaid in Presley's 1968 movie Live a Little, Love a Little. She also appeared in Elvis: The Comeback Special the same year.

As for Mills, who starred in a string of Disney movies that also included 1960's Pollyanna in 1960 and 1965's That Darn Cat! , she went out with a member of the Beatles, which she offered as her own "dream date."

Mills had detailed the experience of having attended a charity event with George Harrison in her 2021 memoir, Forever Young.

"As soon as we sat down, we were surrounded — people were leaning on our heads, their sharp elbows and grumbling stomachs in our faces," Mills wrote in her book, per PEOPLE. "George was marvelous, signing autographs and smiling at everybody, however pushy. One woman actually knelt in my lap to get at him!"

The plan was that they were going to watch the Cary Grant-Audrey Hepburn movie Charade, but that's not exactly what happened.

"We didn't get a chance to watch much of it, because people kept crawling on their hands and knees up the aisle, with autograph books in their teeth, to reach George," Mills recalled.

They attempted to sneak away, but that didn't go so smoothly either.

Eventually, "George jumped into the car and some fool slammed the door shut, leaving me stuck outside," Mills said. "I saw his face looking back at me helplessly as the car sped off, girls still chasing and banging on the windows."

Mills bonded with Henning on the film in which she played the part of both twins, Susan and Sharon, just as Lindsay Lohan did in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. While Mills was the star, it was Henning who often stood in the background.

"It was quite a simple idea that the camera was in a great big box, and they would just film one side of the screen at a time," Mills said on Nostalgia Tonight. "So I would film one side playing Susan, dressed up as Susan and being Susan. And I would play the scene with my photographic double, and she was a young actress called Susan Henning."

They would repeat the process to create movie magic.
