- Luke Hemsworth said that his younger brothers can make it "more difficult" for him to get roles.

- He believes that there is some "baggage" in being a Hemsworth.

- The *Westworld* star revealed that he was called Liam at his recent movie premiere.

It turns out that being Thor's big brother comes with some "baggage."

Luke Hemsworth has carved out a solid career for himself, between a series regular role on *Westworld* and a recent gig in the *Terminal List* Universe. But it's tough to compare bonafides within your own family when your younger brothers are Chris and Liam Hemsworth, who have plenty of blockbuster experience. And Luke believes that being a Hemsworth can often present a challenge for him in the casting process.

"I think there’s an assumption that life is easy if you have the Hemsworth name, that you’re gonna get roles super easily," he told *The Guardian*. "In my experience, it’s actually been a lot more difficult, and it comes with a stigma. So I have to be very aware of my craft, making sure I’ve really prepared. That sounds like a no-brainer but I’ve had to really work, really dive deep into that part of my game."

Luke contends that he "loves" that element and the "beautiful character roles" that he's played over the years. "But there is kind of baggage that’s left over from [Chris and Liam]," he said, before adding with a self-aware laugh, "Most of it is, 'Oh, you’re really short!'"

In the new sports film *Beast*, Luke stars as an MMA fighter opposite fellow Australian Russell Crowe, but even when he's already landed a major gig, he can't avoid being overlooked.

"When I walk in the room, I have to be very specific about who I am," he said. "But it still gets confusing. Every now and again someone calls me Liam. I actually got introduced at the *Beast* premiere as Liam Hemsworth."

Luke has worked separately with both of his brothers. He and Liam appeared together in the 2024 war thriller *Land of Bad*, while Luke has cameoed in two *Thor *installments as an actor playing the God of Thunder. But Luke recently shared that he's hoping to get the trio together for a project.

"If anyone wants to write something, then please come and see us," he said. "We need to get Chris booked in about two years in advance. He's incredibly in demand."

There's still time to make *Extraction 3* a family affair!
