The couple were found dead in their Brentwood, Calif., home on Sunday, Dec. 14
Nick was arrested hours after his parents' bodies were discovered and the 32-year-old was charged with two counts of first-degree murder on Tuesday, Dec. 16
New images have been released showing the moment Nick Reiner was arrested by police for the alleged murder of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
In the images obtained by PEOPLE, Nick 32, is seen being placed in handcuffs by police as he is placed under arrest on Sunday, Dec. 14, hours . He is wearing a green, white and black tracksuit jacket and blue jeans and a black cap.
Another photo shows Nick lying on the ground during his arrest while surrounded by several police officers. The images come after ABC7 Eyewitness News released CCTV footage of Nick moments before his arrest, buying a drink at a gas station, on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Nick has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of using a deadly weapon, such as a knife, in connection to the deaths of his parents. Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were killed in their Los Angeles home on Sunday, Dec. 14. Sources told PEOPLE that their youngest child, daughter Romy, 27, found their bodies.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said it responded to a call for medical at about 3:30 p.m. local time on Sunday. The victims were later identified as Rob and Michele.
Nick was later confirmed as a suspect by the Los Angeles Police Department. He was arrested after 9 p.m. Sunday, more than five hours after his parents were found dead.
An LAPD spokesperson told PEOPLE Nick was arrested near the University of California campus.. PEOPLE has confirmed Nick is being held at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.

Sources previously told PEOPLE that Rob and Nick were in a “very loud argument" at a party hosted by Conan O'Brien the night before the alleged murder.

“Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous,” one of the sources said.
Rob and Michele married in 1989 after meeting while he was directing When Harry Met Sally. Together, they had three children, while Rob also adopted Tracy, 61, the daughter of his ex-wife Penny Marshall.
In addition to When Harry Met Sally..., Reiner directed several classic films, including This Is Spinal Tap and A Few Good Men, and starred on the groundbreaking sitcom All in the Family.
