Get out your luggage: *Girls Trip 2* is ready to head out on the road.
Star Tiffany Haddish, fresh off her stint as Le Who Who on *The Masked Singer* season 14, has a promising update for fans of the movie, which is the sequel to the 2017 comedy also starring Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Queen Latifah.
"We just got the *Girls Trip 2* script," Haddish tells **. "They just sent the script. It is, to me, funny. I laughed out loud three times, which is very difficult for me to do, especially off paper, off of reading something. And it made me laugh *loud*, and *hard*. I had to put the script down for a minute and come back to it and laugh. It was really good."

As far as where she's at in the process of making the film, Haddish shares that she had some notes that she was trying to give to the producers — which didn't go quite the way she intended. "They're like, 'Well, before we even get your notes, we want to get the notes from the studio, so we don't even want your notes,'" she says, admitting, "And I was a *little* bit disappointed in that."
"But," she continues, "I've been told as of Friday I heard that they would like to shoot at the end of summer. And we'll be shooting some of this movie in Africa."

The first film followed four lifelong friends — dubbed the Flossy Posse — who travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival. There, sisterhoods are rekindled, and thanks to a lot of dancing, drinking, and brawling, wild sides reemerge and shenanigans abound.
*Girls Trip* dazzled critics and audiences alike, grossing $140 million worldwide on its $19 million production budget, and became the first comedy of 2017 to gross over $100 million in the U.S. Plans for a sequel have long been discussed, but hadn't firmed up — until now.

During a chat on **'s *Awardist* podcast in December, fellow star Hall also opened up about whether or not we could expect more adventures from the Flossy Posse. "I do believe so," Hall replied when asked if she thinks the long-awaited sequel is really going to happen.**
"I just... I think that it's really about getting the script right," she explained at the time. "I think no one wants to do it if it's not, if they don't feel like it can be funny, you know, like the first one. And so I think getting that right has been like the primary goal. And I think until that's right, then we won't... hopefully it won't be like *Girls Trip: Seniors Edition*."**
