Chris Hemsworth revealed that he had to bribe his daughter, India Rose, to come to the Avengers: Doomsday set to film her sequences. His daughter plays Love, the biological daughter of Gorr the God Butcher. In the movie, love initially dies of starvation, which fuels her father’s mission to destroy all gods. However, toward the end of the film, she is resurrected after her father makes a wish to Eternity and is then adopted by Thor.

Chris Hemsworth reveals he bribed his daughter for this reason

In a recent episode of The View, Hemsworth revealed that he had to “bribe” India Rose to film her scenes as Love in Avengers: Doomsday. He revealed that she was younger when they filmed Thor: Love and Thunder, and she’s a teen now, given that she’s 13 years old.

While referring to his daughter being tired of waiting to shoot, he revealed, “And she walks on set, and she’s like, ‘Ugh, how long is this gonna take?’ I was like, ‘We haven’t even started!” He then mentioned that they shot the first take, and India was immediately like, “Are we done?”

Hemsworth recalled explaining to her that they were yet to complete another two to three days of shooting, hearing which India was clearly unimpressed. He noted that India had “this angsty, sort of teenage attitude” upon learning about the extended days of shooting and would just go to her tent and sit on the chair. So, he decided to bribe her in order to motivate her to come to the set.

India insisted she wouldn’t come, assuming she wouldn’t get paid for the role. However, Hemsworth clarified to her that she does get paid and that the money from the project is saved until she turns 18. India was shocked, as she was unaware of the fact, and asked her father to give some of it to her now.

As the Russo brothers required India on set, Hemsworth had no option but to negotiate with his daughter. Hemsworth added, “She races motorbikes and rides motorbikes, and she goes, ‘…Could I afford that motorbike that I wanted? I was like, ‘You possibly could.’ So a slight negotiation and off she went.” He also clarified that his daughter didn’t throw any sort of tantrums on set.
