The British actor, best known for starring in the high-school based drama Waterloo Road, was 31
“As a family, our hearts are completely broken, and there are no words that can truly capture the depth of our loss," Debbie Rush wrote on Instagram
William Rush, a British actor best known for starring in Waterloo Road has died. He was 31.
The actor’s mother, Debbie Rush, shared on Instagram a photo of him smiling as she confirmed that he died on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
“As a family, our hearts are completely broken, and there are no words that can truly capture the depth of our loss," she captioned the post. “Even in our darkest moment, William gave the most precious gift of all.
"Through being an organ donor, he has given hope and life to other families, thinking of others right to the very end," the former Coronation Street actress said. “His kindness and love will forever be part of his legacy.

“We kindly ask that our privacy be respected as we navigate this unimaginable grief," Debbie concluded. "William will always be loved, always missed, and forever in our hearts."
His cause of death has not been revealed.
William was best known for playing the role of Josh Stevenson in the high-school based drama Waterloo Road.
He starred in 168 episodes between 2009 and 2013, according to the BBC.

William also appeared in the TV series Grange Hill, Shameless, Casualty and Vera, the outlet reported.
In Debbie’s comment section, many British TV stars shared their condolences.

“Oh debbie my heart breaks for you all I'm so so sorry ! Rest in peace Will 😢🙏🏾,” Chelsee Healey, who also starred in Waterloo Road, commented.
Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley wrote, “Oh love. I’m heartbroken for you all. I am so deeply sorry. I’m sending so much love and strength ❤️.”
In addition to his mother, William leaves behind his father Andrew Rush, sister Poppy Rush and brother Tom Rush.
